NEVER PERFECT is a color, feature-length documentary that explores the popularity of cosmetic surgery, the historical, cultural and social issues that influence body image and self-perception and one woman's complex journey of self-discovery that shifts not only how she defines herself as an Asian-American woman, but as a human being. 

   
My hope is that the film inspires an open, honest dialogue between and across ethnic communities about race and identity, beauty ideals and the ways in which the shape of Asian-America is morphing.
